Beautiful, original, 4-room apartment with medieval feeling in a 16th century building in the middle of Gamla Stan (Old Town).
If you want to experience the best that the Stockholm has to offer, all on walking distance, then this is the place which should be the base in your exploration.
You will feel like you are staying in the medieval, 16th century Stockholm while having all the luxuries of the modern world.
The apartment is located in a 16th century building and has recently been renovated so everything is brand new and fresh. It has one large living room and 3-sleeping rooms. You enter the apartment directly from the narrow cobble stone street through a security door using a provided pin code.
The living room with kitchen area and the toilet are on the bottom floor and are entered directly when you enter the apartment. The 3 sleeping rooms are in the basement with small windows facing the street above. The windows in the sleeping rooms are small and of heavy glass, heavily dimmed so they don’t let much light to the room which gives the rooms even more of a medieval feel.
All three sleeping rooms are with 140 cm wide beds suitable for couples.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
Gamla Stan, the Old Town, is one of the largest and best preserved medieval city centers in Europe, and one of the foremost attractions in Stockholm. This is where Stockholm was founded in 1252.
All of Gamla Stan and the adjacent island of Riddarholmen are like a living pedestrian-friendly museum full of sights, attractions, restaurants, cafés, bars and places to shop. Gamla Stan is also popular with aficionados of handicrafts, curios and souvenirs.
Gamla Stan is really a hart of Stockholm and from there it is about 10 minutes walk to the city center where the central station is located as well as to Stureplan where all the trendy clubs and restaurant are that are inhabited by the most beautiful Swedish women. Its also about 10 minutes walk to Södermalm which is the cool, bohemian in in my opinion the most interesting part of Stockholm.
